Creating Future Opportunities for Ethnic Youth in Kengtung (Vocation Trainings)

In Myanmar today, ethnic youth face increasing challenges in accessing skills and opportunities that align with the demands of the modern world. This is especially true for young people between the ages of 13–18, including vulnerable adolescent girls and those who have had to leave school due to hardship. Many of them continue searching for meaningful employment opportunities to build a better future.

With the aim of empowering ethnic youth and ensuring they do not miss out on future job opportunities, Braveheart Foundation, through its Kengtung Branch, organized three free vocational training courses designed to equip young people with practical skills for their livelihoods.

The training programs included:

  1. Floral Decoration Training – Held on 28 July 2025 with 6 trainees.
  2. Sewing Training – Conducted on 11 August 2025 with 5 trainees.
  3. Computer Training – Conducted on 13 August 2025 with 5 trainees.

These initial vocational courses in floral decoration, sewing, and computer literacy represent a first step towards providing young people with pathways to employment, income generation, and self-reliance. By offering them the chance to gain marketable skills, Braveheart Foundation aims not only to support local job opportunities and small businesses but also to strengthen the confidence of youth in building independent and dignified lives.

We are delighted to share some images from the trainings conducted at the Kengtung Branch, which highlight the active participation and enthusiasm of the young trainees. Moving forward, Braveheart Foundation is committed to continuing its free vocational programs to create brighter futures for youth in ethnic communities.

Together, let’s nurture the blossoms of tomorrow!
