Towards a Warm and Safe Shelter (Kyaukme and Nawnghkio)
Despite heavy rain and difficult road conditions, the field team from Braveheart Foundation completed the final round of emergency relief distribution to temporary displacement sites in Kyaukme and Nawnghkio Townships, Northern Shan State.
In partnership with Help Hub Organization, essential household items were delivered directly to 2,489 internally displaced households, helping families living far from home meet their most urgent daily needs.
Relief items distributed (per household)
- 3 blankets (1.5 × 2 m)
- 3 sleeping mats (180 × 90 cm)
- 3 mosquito nets (190 × 100 cm)
- 1 solar lamp
- 1 tarpaulin sheet (15′ × 15′)
- 1 kitchen set
Beyond the distribution of relief supplies, the team also conducted PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) awareness sessions and implemented a Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM), providing displaced communities with safe and accessible channels to voice their concerns, needs, and feedback.
At Braveheart Foundation, we remain committed to standing alongside conflict-affected communities throughout their journey toward safety, dignity, and recovery.
