Carrying Forward Hope: Humanitarian Assistance to Displaced Communities in Minhla Township

Background

Ongoing challenges and instability have forced many individuals and families to leave their homes and communities. For these internally displaced persons (IDPs), access to humanitarian assistance remains critically important.

At Braveheart Foundation, we are committed to ensuring that those who have been displaced are not left without support. Even in the most difficult moments of their lives, we strive to stand alongside them, offering not only assistance but also dignity, protection, and hope.

Humanitarian Food Assistance

In response to urgent needs on the ground, Braveheart Foundation teams reached displaced communities in Minhla Township, delivering essential food supplies to a total of 332 households.

The distributed items included:

  • Rice
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt
  • Fish paste (ready-to-cook)
  • Beans

These essential food items were delivered directly to households to help ease immediate food insecurity and provide much-needed support for daily survival.

Humanitarian assistance, especially in times of crisis, serves as a vital lifeline for affected communities. This intervention aimed to strengthen food security while alleviating some of the burdens faced by displaced families.

Protection Awareness: PSEA Activities

Beyond food assistance, Braveheart Foundation also integrated Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) awareness sessions into the response.

These sessions aimed to:

  • Increase awareness of risks faced by vulnerable populations
  • Promote safe and respectful humanitarian practices
  • Empower communities—especially women, children, and persons with disabilities—to recognize and respond to protection concerns

Through these efforts, communities are better equipped to understand potential risks and safeguard themselves during times of crisis.

Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (CFM)

To ensure accountability and community engagement, a Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) was established and strengthened in the field.

Key actions included:

  • Installing suggestion/complaint boxes in accessible locations
  • Displaying contact information through visible signboards and vinyl posters
  • Encouraging community members to safely share concerns, feedback, and recommendations

This approach allows Braveheart Foundation to listen closely to community voices and continuously improve the quality, transparency, and responsiveness of our programs.

Looking Ahead

Braveheart Foundation remains dedicated to responding to the evolving needs of communities. We will continue working closely with affected populations to provide timely, inclusive, and people-centered support.
