Supporting Families Rebuild Their Lives in Temporary Shelters

The Braveheart Foundation recently reached out to displaced communities in Eindu, Kaw Sein Ban, and Kaw Ma Ree villages in Hpa-an Township, Kayin State, to provide vital support.

Many families are currently living in temporary shelters after being forced to flee their beloved homes due to natural disasters and other situations. In these new surroundings, these communities face significant daily challenges and endure difficult living conditions away from the safety of their own homes.

With the support of a UN agency, our organization was able to directly distribute essential personal hygiene kits to every household, ensuring that these supplies reached the families personally. Furthermore, during this relief effort, we conducted widespread awareness sessions on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).

We believe that these supplies will address immediate hygiene needs, while the PSEA awareness is crucial for ensuring the greater safety of vulnerable groups, particularly women and children, by helping them understand and prevent potential risks during times of crisis. Braveheart Foundation remains committed to continuing our support and will be visiting remaining villages in the coming days. We also warmly welcome any feedback or suggestions regarding our activities.

Here, we are pleased to share some images from our recent trip to these villages in Kayin State as part of our ongoing recovery efforts.
