Braveheart Foundation is deeply committed to enhancing the effectiveness of its Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) initiatives. Our core priority is to safeguard beneficiaries and communities from any form of harm caused by humanitarian organizations, their staff, or anyone associated with aid delivery.

To advance this vital objective, BH recently led and facilitated a key coordination workshop with our partner organizations in Hpa-An, Kayin State.

The workshop centered on practical strategies to ensure robust SEA protection for vulnerable communities:

Developing Tailored Standards: Partners exchanged insights on establishing PSEA standards that are practical and relevant to each organization’s unique operational context.

Designing Coordinated Responses: The group focused on shaping unified mechanisms to respond to any SEA incidents, ensuring that all actions are guided by confidentiality and the safety of those affected.

Building Internal Capacity: We held in-depth discussions on the necessary steps to build sufficient capacity within each partner organization, enabling them to conduct effective internal investigations.

This workshop successfully reinforced the collaborative bonds between all partner organizations. Critically, it has paved the way for a more integrated PSEA network, extending a vital web of safety and protection deeper into local communities.

Moving forward, Braveheart Foundation will continue to champion this collaborative spirit. Alongside our valued partners, we remain steadfast in our mission to create a safe and secure environment, free from the threat of SEA, for all affected populations and communities we serve.
