Focus Group Discussions on PSEA Reporting Mechanism Held in Mawlamyine and Hpa-an
On December 17-18, 2024, Braveheart Foundation successfully organized Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) in Mawlamyine, Mon State, and Hpa-an, Karen State, focusing on the PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) reporting mechanisms.
The discussions brought together participants who are internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the local communities. During the sessions, they engaged in an interactive Q&A, sharing their experiences and providing valuable feedback on PSEA-related questions.
These participants were selected through Braveheart’s Data Collectors, who had previously gathered essential information on the PSEA reporting system. Among them, individuals who demonstrated significant understanding and insights into the PSEA mechanism were chosen to contribute to this focused discussion.
The FGDs provided a platform for the community to voice their concerns, share challenges, and explore solutions regarding ethical reporting practices and mechanisms. The discussions also emphasized the importance of raising awareness and building trust in PSEA systems within the community.
This initiative reflects Braveheart Foundation’s commitment to fostering safer and more accountable communities while ensuring the inclusion of vulnerable groups in the decision-making process.
Stay tuned for further updates on how these discussions are shaping the implementation of effective PSEA mechanisms in the region.
